GERMAN VERSION

Das Filmprojekt / die Videoinstallation "COLLATERAL DAMAGE - my new self" basiert auf einer einjährigen Performance, einem Selbstversuch, einer Forschungsreise... und sie dokumentiert, kommentiert und setzt meine ganz persönliche Auseinandersetzung mit den demokratisch gewählten, populistischen Machthabern dieser Welt und den zeitgenössischen Diktatoren in Szene. Dieses Filmprojekt versucht Charaktermerkmalen von politischen Persönlichkeiten auf die Spur zu kommen und sich ihrer Biographien, Zitate und Propagandastrategien anzueignen.

Nach Fertigstellung des Videos und der Soundcollage werde ich dieses Video kombiniert mit einer Live-Performance und einer Rauminstallation in einem internationalen Kontext performen, ausstellen, und in partizipativen Projekten zur Debatte stellen. Dabei werden Workshops, Seminare und Vorträge die künstlerische Forschungsreise in eine zweite neue vertiefte Phase bringen. Der Ausgang dieses Großprojektes ist noch immer offen.

ENGLISH VERSION

The film project/video installation "COLLATERAL DAMAGE - my new self" is based on a one-year performance praxis, a self-experiment, a research trip ... and it documents, comments and stages my own personal confrontation with the democratically elected, populist rulers of this world and the contemporary dictators. This film project seeks to uncover characteristics of political personalities and to acquire their biographies, quotes and propaganda strategies.

After finalizing the video and sound-collage, I will screen this video in combination with a live performance and a spatial installation in an international context, exhibit it and put it up for discussion in participatory projects. The workshop, seminars and lectures are intended to bring the artistic research journey into a second, new, in-depth phase. The outcome of this major project is still open.
