Als das wesentliche Merkmal dieser Performance beruht Bouncin' around auf der Suche nach der größten rhythmischen Freiheit - für Stimme, Handlung und Körper. Schnelle Tempi werden durch Cutting bzw. Gegenwechsel gebrochen und prägen damit wesentlich den performativen Charakter dieser Soloperformance von Ilka Theurich.
Bouncin' around improvisiert, agiert und antwortet auf den akustischen und visuellen Raum, die Rezipienten und die Energie des Tages. Solche Wechsel haben sowohl die Eigenschaft eines Dialogs als auch die eines Wettstreits. In Anlehnung des Bebops und seine Hörer in den Clubs von New York, wie unter anderem die Vertreter des abstrakten Expressionismus Willem de Kooning und Jackson Pollock, setzt diese Performance bewußt auf die Elemente Emotion, Spontanität und des frei gesetzten Ausdrucks – eine flüchtige und spontane Improvisation.
Eine Performance als Gehirndoping angelegt, die durch die immer schneller werdende Geschwindigkeit des Lebens inspiriert ist - ein Experiment.

As the essential feature of this performance, Bouncin 'around relies on the search for the greatest rhythmic freedom - for voice, action and body. Fast tempos are broken by cutting or counter-change, thus significantly shaping the performative character of Ilka Theurich's solo performance.
Bouncin 'around improvises, acts and responds to the acoustic and visual space, the recipients and the energy of the day. Such changes have both the quality of a dialogue and a competitive one. Following the example of Bebop and his listeners in New York's clubs, such as the representatives of abstract expressionism Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock, this performance deliberately focuses on the elements of emotion, spontaneity and free expression - a fleeting and spontaneous improvisation.
